Can’t spell Boone without “boo”!
Hope you all enjoy Boone’s dramatic antics here. I had a lot of fun with the different poses! This is the last time we’ll see Boone in the main comic for a few months, so I wanted to give him a grand exit before his next appearance. In general, the second half of this chapter is going to start slowly shifting more toward Romy and Echo’s relationship, since – up until now – they haven’t spent a whole lot of time together! And we’re going to start getting into some more emotionally tense scenes as well, so… lots to look forward to in the future, I hope. 😉

I like how the background basically extends behind every panel. Did you finalize the art there or only draw the areas that aren’t covered by other panels?
Thanks! In the case of this page, I only drew around the panels. Normally, I actually do draw most of the backgrounds, even the stuff behind the speech bubbles. When I have compositions like this though where I kinda draw a bunch of little panels on top of one splash panel, I haven’t had much of a reason to! They’re definitely one of my favourite kinds of compositions to do though. I guess drawing the entire panel would be worth considering if I wanted to use it for something, but I think I sorta opt for the shortcut in this case haha.
BAhahahaha OMG I love the way the hand gets closer like that to Boone’s ear ot let out that ‘BOO’. xD
