That’s a really lovely scene/composition to end on!
Thanks, I’m really glad ya think so! These types of pages are some of my favourite compositions to do, so I wanted to do one for the last page too. : )
gosh, this comic is so sweet! it feels like baking cookies on christmas eve, in a way
I honestly really love that way of describing it… I got the same vibe while writing the end scene for this book as well. There’s a lot of moments that make me feel nostalgic and fuzzy like that, and they’re often some of my favorites haha. Thank you so much for reading!
Man, I am so glad I discovered this comic. I’m not really a comic reader, but the story and character designs reeled me in the first time I saw it on Bluesky. Romy is so adorable and I relate a lot to her self-doubts and insecurities (though I’m not nearly as teary-eyed as her hahaha), and Boone is such a fun guy to have as a friend. Echo is an interesting character. I like how she supports Romy towards the end of this book, and I’m interested to learn more about her story. And their friendship is just the greatest! This was a fantastic read, and I can’t wait to move on to the next book. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for such a kind comment! It always surprises me when people who don’t usually read comics find themselves reading SlumberTown and really enjoying it. Yeah, Romy is pretty anxious and can be a bit of a crier at times – and Boone’s a great supportive friend too! Echo can be a supportive friend too but, y’know, still learning to come out of her shell a bit more (she’s more like Romy in that way!). And her story definitely has a much slower progression than the other two earlier on, though hers is probably my favorite in terms of all I’ve got planned haha. Thanks so much for giving it a read and for leaving such nice thoughts!
