Page 1.75: Chaos and Corridors
Can you believe this comic? You look away for ONE MINUTE and suddenly reality starts breaking. Unbelievable.
Talk about a problem page, haha! This one was probably my favourite composition of this month’s lineup but figuring out the colours I wanted to use – especially for the middle portion – gave me so much more trouble than I expected. Eventually, I managed to get pretty close to the feel I was shooting for, but I could definitely play around with this one more when I catch up with revising/finalizing pages. For now, though, I really gotta move on.
Things in the comic may be confusing right now, but you know what’s NOT confusing? Patreon! It’s pretty simple, actually. You subscribe to a site where you can get early access up to page 79 with 80 and 81 shortly on the way – and lots of Behind the Scenes info while I go in-depth with every page I do. Roque Mapache, Vi and Sczaric are my three patrons who get to enjoy these nice perks – and if you want in on it, you can jump on that bandwagon too!
Head on over to https://www.patreon.com/slumbertown for that SlumberTown exclusive access! And to my current patrons: Thank you! Very much!!
I’ll be honest, I feel like this pages looks even better here than it does on Tapas, thanks due to the dark purple background. Everything really pops this way!
I think you’re right! This page (to me) definitely looked better to me in higher res, and on my laptop where I could view it much better than I could on my phone haha. I went through some different colour choices for this but I feel like the purple/pinks kinda worked for the feel I was going for – I just wasn’t sure how well they translated on this page. It was a tough one to crack, that’s for sure. If I end up tinkering with it more, I don’t think I’ll be changing the colour scheme too drastically. I’m glad you thought it came out well! (I’ve probably messed with it far too long to have an objective opinion lol)
Crazy things are happening….almost starting to forget mellow ole sleepy slumbertown.
We’ve officially entered the weirder side of things now! Definitely a fun and exciting turn for me as the person writing and drawing it hahaha.
