Page 1.123: Alone Again
Short update today as we begin our descend… into depression? (Sorry, Romy.)
As always, the support from my patrons gives love to the comic and helps me grow closer to the reality of making SlumberTown a part-time job. So many thanks go out to those folks, as follows: Roque Mapache, Vi, Sczaric, Buttercup, Joe Hamrick, Foxrock, River Buizel, RootGryph, Cautious Imber, RedAgent14, ClefdeSoll, Devin T Gering, Morgan, Sherry, Kathy, Patrice, Lauren, Constantine Justovic and Jinx Wolf!
The public pages have reached an introspective scene, but over on Patreon we’re hitting one of Book 1’s biggest climaxes – so things are really starting to heat up a bit! Consider becoming a patron to get access to the current buffer?: https://www.patreon.com/slumbertown.
Thanks for reading, either way!
Would you feel okay undressing to take a shower in an unsettling place though?
I guess the next page will reveal whether or not Romy does. Weirdly, she seems a little less afraid of ghosts than the average person… as long as they don’t try speaking to her.
The good thing is that things that descend can also get up again. But let’s hope Romy won’t get hit to hard.
Yep! She’s gotta descend for a bit… and then probably a bit more… before she ascends at the end of the chapter. All in the spirit of storywriting!
I really like the way you used colors in this strip. How the ambiance totally changes and depicts what’s to come. Really well done!
Thanks, Gabe! I was honestly pretty excited to jump back to blue tones again. I really like how a lot of the pages in this scene came out. Managed to hit upon the mood I wanted in the recent pages I’ve done. : )
