Has the characters age ever been mentioned before? It might have been, and it’s just been a long time. In any case, it makes me really happy seeing characters around my age in something colorful and cartoony.
Only a couple times, and very briefly! I think Boone mentioned his age once in Book 1 after that segment where Romy and Boone dreamt about themselves as old farts followed by Boone saying, “Thank god, I’m 33 again!!!”.
And yeah, Boone being over 30 is something that I feel is really important to his character. I’ve always grown up feeling like a late bloomer, so having adult characters who start their mental health journeys at different ages is pretty meaningful to me.
